War Correspondent Peter Arnett

War correspondent and CNN international correspondent Peter Arnett was best known for his reporting from Baghdad during the allied bombing raids that heralded the start of the Gulf War. Arnett had more than 30 years of reporting experience, most of it with the Associated Press. He won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the Vietnam War and later covered conflicts in Cyprus and Lebanon. In 1981, he switched to television when he joined CNN. After learning the ropes, he was sent to El Salvador, Moscow, and then Iraq.
