Peter Mintun's Tribute to the Women of Tin Pan Alley.

"Society" Pianist Peter Mintun performs many forgotten songs from the first half of this century. His new CD is "Your's for a Song: The Women of Tin Pan Alley." (Premier Recordings) Peter Mintun’s music is synonymous with San Francisco society. He has performed with symphony orchestras, entertained royalty, film and stage stars, and sometimes the composers themselves. His interest in the music of the 1920s and 30s helped him become one of today’s leading interpreters of popular songs composed between the two world wars – which he calls “classic melodies that transcend time.” He performs six-months out of the year at the Carlyle Hotel's Bemelmans Bar in New York City. His other recordings include: "Peter Mintun plays Deep Purple," "Grand Piano: American popular music of the 20's, 30's and 40's."
