Making Informed Choices About Cancer Treatment

Authority on complementary cancer treatments Michael Lerner. His book is called "Choices in Healing: Integrating the Best of Conventional and Complementary Approaches to Cancer." Lerner believes that cancer patients are wise to use "whatever combination of conventional and complementary cancer therapies that makes sense to them." Lerner won a MacArthur Prize Fellowship for his work in public health in 1983. The research institute he founded, called The Commonweal Cancer Help Program, was recently featured on Bill Moyers' PBS series "Healing and the Mind."
