Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Steve Lopez talks about his recent columns on the war, and the local reaction to them. He was against the war from the start -- a position which earned him a lot of criticism.

We check back with James Adams, the defense correspondent for The Sunday Times of London. He's been covering the war from the Pentagon, and talks about the strategies that clinched victory for American forces.

From London, Dr. Muhammad Al-Rumayhi, editor of the "Voice of Kuwait," a paper of the resistance. Ten days after the Iraqis invaded Kuwait, they started publishing leaflets from London. Since then, the Voice of Kuwait has been distributed to Kuwaitis living in exile throughout the Middle East. Al-Rumayhi leaves today to return to his home country.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning writer is a former Vietnam War correspondent. In his new book "The Next Century," he contends that the 20th century is the end of America's economic dominance in the world. He questions the meaning of a victory in the Gulf when there are so many problems at home that we've delayed and ignored.

Terry talks with humorist Calvin Trillin and cartoonist Edward Koren from the The New Yorker about the magazine's impending move. The magazine has been at its present location for almost 60 years. Some of the original office's furnishings are going to the Smithsonian.

Johnson says he feels, by virtue of being talented writer, he has the responsibility to report on conflict zones. His new novel is "Resuscitation of a Hanged Man," about a man recovering from a botched suicide attempt who goes on to be a private investigator.

The British journalist has avoided the government-established pool system, which gives military access to reporters, but requires them to have their stories cleared before they're published. He explains his reasons in conversation with Terry Gross.

We talk about United States' newest Middle East ally's involvement in the international drug trade with Philadelphia Inquirer reporter David Zucchino. Zucchino covers the drug war for the paper, and has spent two years in the Middle East. He also won a Pulitzer for his coverage of South Africa.

Pat Ford speaks with photographic historian Fred Ritchin about the computer manipulation of photographic images. His new book, "In Our Image," discusses the implications of a technology that makes the photograph as susceptible to fraud as the printed word. Ritchin is the founding director of the photojournalism at the International Center of Photography, and the director of photography for the "New York Times Magazine."
