Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern. Her new book, co-written with her mother, is called "Honey, Baby, Mine." And it's based on a series of conversations they had after her mother developed lung disease and was told, if you take walks, that will help you expand your lung capacity.

Laura Dern is Amy Jellicoe, a health and beauty executive who returns from a post-meltdown retreat to pick up the pieces of her broken life in the new HBO series Enlightened. Dern and series creator Mike White talk about the tone of the show, and whether it's possible for people to really change.

On the HBO series Enlightened, a naive corporate executive played by Laura Dern wants to change the world. The series' creator and writer, Mike White, says the show's whistle-blowing plot line was inspired, in part, by his own father's experience.
