He began his career with the Yardbirds in 1966. Two years later, Page formed Led Zeppelin. His powerful playing established the framework for classic tracks like "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock 'N' Roll," "Black Dog," "When The Levee Breaks" and "Achilles Last Stand." Remastered footage from several 1970s Led Zeppelin concerts has just been released on a 2-DVD set.
His popular show, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, was the longest-running program on public television. It ran 33 years and ended its run in 2001. Rogers was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor the nation can bestow, in 2001. Rogers died in February of this year at the age of 74. Their careers were cut short by politics. It would be 30 years before women soldiers could take to the skies again. The two women are Barbara London and Dora Strother.
